Caricature Dump
Over the past two years I've been drawing a lot of caricatures for fun, mostly of my friends at Pixar. I figured it was time I scan them and post them for posterity. If you don't work at Pixar then you probably don't know if the likenesses are accurate, but hopefully the drawings will be enjoyable on their own! There's a self-portrait at the end, for what it's worth.

Andrew Gordon? Looks like him from the AM lectures. Awesome drawings Victor!
What a great idea! Thanks for deciding to post them! I can't wait to see the rest! :o)
These are all great. Sure I don't know most of them, but they are definitely tell stories and are well drawn. Fun to look at no matter who they're drawings of. Have I been redundant enough?
charming stuff!!
That's awesome! I love the simplicity, It's almost a little hirschfeld like. Maybe with permission, you can post a pic. of your victims alongside the caricatures?
Enjoy your weekend,
Hans

Great drawing Vic! Angus Maclane is my fave - what's the inspiration behind the lego effect? I love the simplicity of them, and as Hans said it would be great to see the real pictures. Great stuff!
OMG! Dan Mason mentored me while I was studying animation at Ex'pression, and his caricature is DEAD ON!!! That's hilarious!!!!
Always a fan!

oops i was tired last night and didn't realize there was more than one caricature up! d'oh
They're all super wonderful, I love the simplicity in all of them!
Just went through all the caricatures, they're all excellent! Even without knowing what most of them look like, I can see they must be good, cause you captured a lot of personality with very few lines. Great variety of styles as well. The self portrait is spot on btw!;)
Take care,
Hans
Vic ... Mike Mellor here ... hope this message finds you well. Been a long time so I will try to jar your memory: Bonita Vista High ... epic "art" wars. Off course yours was art - mine bordered on chicken scratch. I brag to my kids that I went to high school with you ... they love the projects you have worked on and we own most of the dvds. Years back, Alien Song made them laugh hysterically ... tears, milk through the nose, re-enactement in the hallways kinda stuff. At any rate ... hi.
These are wonderful, love the expressions!
really great collection, im sure you've captured their likeness, even though I have never seen any of these folks..
Thanks, all! Hans: I'm thinking about posting photos or links to the people, but I have to make sure that they would approve first. Iestyn: Angus is a big Lego fan, hence the treatment. If you go to the SplineDoctors blog there's a link to his Lego page.
Ha ha ha - great stuff, thanks for the info.
Ha...aHa...Excellent man..Excellent.
Awesome! Very cool.
These are awesome! Great job Victor!
We had a caricature class here at work.. I've posted a few on my site.
Cheers!

Awesome Victor, I recognize some of them from AM lectures and some of them being mentors. Really fun!
hehe. Very nice caricatures. I easily recognised "Doctor" Gordon. Doug Dooley seem a bit scary there and Robert Russ is one of my favourites. The quality of the line is beautifull and that's just him!
Now wonder why he uses it as his AM Avatar. The self portrait is also one of my favourite.
