Happy 10th Birthday, Blit!
I'm not sure of the exact date, but I'm pretty sure that I finished my first animation test of Blit Wizbok (who would late go on to appear in Alien Song) in November of 1998. I don't give Blit a lot of thought any more, but I have him to thank for getting me in the door at Pixar. Blit was modeled and animation in Animation: Master, which I loved using, but I haven't had a chance to touch it (or Blit) in years.
So I've been doing character animation for about 10 years now; looking back at this first clip, I'm happy to say I've learned a few things in that time!

man, feels like yesterday when that video was going around the net like wildfire. My mother still occasionally shows it to a board of school teachers when she does presentations, I think just to lighten up the mood in the room.
Wow! That means I was 15 when I first saw it! I remember it vividly -- I was staying w/ a friend, and we watched it probably 100x that weekend! Thanks for the inspiration, Victor, and Happy Birthday Blit!

Wow, time flies. It still holds up though, that's hard to pull off. Congratulations!
Congrats! My husband and I used to watch Blit on the alien song non-stop back then, but now I'm showing it my kids and they love it too!
Don't forget about Blit! I think he deserves a little more exposure as he is SO loveable!
